I never even thought of having a Monzo account until...

I never even thought of having a Monzo account until I was informed about zero abroad fees. So I initially opened for that reason. Once I had an account I looked more into other accounts and experiences, since then I now have a savings account. Then I compared a Go Henry card for my daughter to the under 16s card, it was a no brainer and opened up an account for my daughter instantly. I think this is one of the best banks going and I’m now considering Monzo being my main account with my salary going in monthly. Reviewed on: 6th March 2026

PayPal over a Credit Card.

I love the app, it’s easy to navigate, pay and know what you have spent. PayPal in general offers flexible payment options, meaning high purchases can be made and paid for later on with 0% interest. It offers a higher amount limit so you can manage what you spend within reason and also pay something of a higher value. I believe PayPal is far better than using a credit card, and more options around making sure you avoid interest when paying off within the 0% interest window. Reviewed on: 26th May 2025
