Worse than ASDA rewards - and that's bad

Unaware how to use. You need something like a million points to earn a penny (slight exageration, but not a million miles away). Reviewed on: 8th April 2026

Confusing when it comes to paying back. Not at all like other creditors. Funds do not immediately show, so you're sat there wondering when your payments will clear. So, if you're supposed to pay a balance by the first of the month, and you do exactly that - on the first, it doesn't clear into THEIR account for a couple of days, anything can happen during that clearing time! Should their system screw up (and it's more likely to than not), then it'll show as a late payment, screwing up your credit score! The hoops one has to jump through to rectify this 'mistake' is horrendous! Reviewed on: 8th April 2026

I couldn't believe how easy it was to apply for, and get PayPal Credit. We needed a new TV over Christmas. It's typical, isn't it - something always goes 'bang', 'pop', or 'fizzle' at this time of year. I was just about to order one, through our credit card, via PayPal, when PayPal offered the option for their credit. I thought "ok, I'll give it a go". Not only was I accepted within minutes, but I was given three months interest free credit. And I didn't have to pay anything for three months. As a responsible borrower (cough), I split the payment for the TV over the three months, enabling me to concentrate more on Christmas itself! So, thank you PayPal for helping us through when we needed it most! Reviewed on: 27th May 2025
