Best on-line lender

Took a few days to get confirmation, but best on-line lender by far. Had a mix-up on first payment, but phoned them up and it was sorted, no problem. Reviewed on: 7th January 2018

I had a loan with halifax, my regular bank, for about £7,500, with interest of about 4.3%, and a car loan through santander for about £7,000 at about 4.9%. I applied to the halifax to combine my 2 loans, and they wanted to up the interest rate to 23%. Being a long time customer, i was disgusted, and so searched the internet, and came up with Zopa at 3.something %. How can they do something my bank can't, or is it just taking the mick out of regular customers to boost their profits. In my opinion, the big banks have got away with fleecing their customers for too long, while paying big bonus's to inneficient staff. A new company like Zopa could shake up the whole system and do us all some good, after all, without their customers they would be nothing, so why fleece them in the first place. It can only be greed. excellent customer service

The bank refused the first direct debit, and Zopa let me know immediately. I paid over the phone. The same thing happened on the second payment. I phoned the bank and they could not give me a reason for non payment, but told me to re-send the direct debit. I am now waiting to see what happens for the third payment.
