Only good for small loans

Just like large banking companies you do not take into account disable people who cannot get loans to match The circumstances of a guaranteed income. Say for instance buying a car fom motability After having the car for 5 years and paying a total of £20,000 pound including a £2,500 deposit ( I had to lend off my sister again because you wouldn't lend it to me ). for the privilege. value of car £17,000 (which is a joke). Price needed to be paid $9,000 but you wouldn't take the risk even though it had an instant £8,000 plus value . disable people are held to ransom by all companies that deal with money in any wat shape or form Reviewed on: 22nd July 2025
Reply from Northern Community Bank (formerly Pennine Community Credit Union) Hi Mr K, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We're really sorry to hear how difficult and frustrating this situation has been for you. We understand how important it is to feel listened to, especially when you're dealing with something as essential as transport and when you have a reliable, guaranteed income. Please know that we never make decisions based on someone’s disability or personal circumstances. Every application is assessed individually, and our priority is always to lend in a way that’s fair, responsible and won’t put anyone in financial difficulty. We completely understand that this hasn’t been the outcome you hoped for, and we’re genuinely sorry we weren’t able to help on this occasion. If you’d like to talk things through further or have us explain anything in more detail, our team is always here to listen. Response date: 23rd July 2025

It's okay for getting smaller lawns but no good for getting larger loans even if you've been with them for over nearly 10 years. Held back just like the larger Loan companies because you're disabled and unemployable Reviewed on: 11th July 2025
Reply from Northern Community Bank (formerly Pennine Community Credit Union) Hi Mr K, Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review and for being a loyal member for nearly 10 years – we truly appreciate your continued support. We’re really sorry to hear that you feel let down by your recent experience. That’s never how we want any of our members to feel. We understand how frustrating it can be when a loan decision doesn’t go the way you’d hoped, especially after such a long relationship with us. Please be assured that we never judge anyone based on their personal circumstances, and disability or employment status is never a reason for being declined. Every application is assessed carefully and fairly, with the aim of making sure any loan we offer is affordable and responsible. We’d really like the chance to talk things through with you and see if there’s anything more we can do to help or explain. If you feel comfortable doing so, please get in touch with our team directly. Thank you again for your honest feedback – it helps us reflect and improve. Response date: 14th July 2025
