Pleased to have chosen Vernon for our new BTL venture

Very good start to the process with Jack Mottershead very responsive and supportive. Pretty smooth all through with questions answered quickly by the support team too. Negatives: some of the requirements seemed biased towards a retail mortgage rather than a commercial BTL loan, so to me were strange, as if one-size-fits-all on paperwork. I'm disappointed that you can't choose to set the monthly mortgage payment to a higher 'static' amount and pay off principal on a drip-feed basis: appreciate you can make £1k minimum, but i prefer to accelerate repayment by starting low and eating into loan principal monthly so the repayment amount starts to increase by pennies but on a compound basis.. Lower rate would have been nice: had a lower rate option (even allowing for fees over a fixed term basis) but decided to stay with Vernon given customer support in the early stages and kept fingers crossed that nothing went wrong laterly... luckily it didn't.
