Poor complaints handling and broken promises

I had a frustrating experience with Vanquis that I need to share. Called the activation number on my new card sticker and it straight up didn’t work. Called them directly (after holiday delay) and was told it was active - still didn’t work. Their complaints handling was appalling. Submitted a proper written complaint through their online form and they completely ignored it. Promised to call me back - never happened. Later claimed they’d left voicemails when they hadn’t. Shabby treatment from start to finish. Just basic maladministration. Reviewed on: 7th January 2026
