I was looking for a loan and honestly wasn't looking...

I was looking for a loan and honestly wasn't looking forward to the usual banking hurdles. I tried Zopa's 'Borrowing Power' tool first, and it was great to see my eligible rate without any mark on my credit file. The actual application took maybe 5 minutes. What blew me away was the speed. I was approved almost instantly, and the funds were in my bank account in less than two hours. The App is super clean. It’s easy to see exactly when my next payment is and how much of the balance is left. There are No 'Nasty Surprises', everything is in plain English. No hidden fees or penalties if I want to pay a bit extra one month. Reviewed on: 17th January 2026
