Loyalty means nothing

I have been with Halifax for over 10 years and have always been a good customer (never over drawn, never in debt, regular income.) Over this time they have removed all of the perks of my account and refused to offer me a mortgage because of my "temp" contract - which has a secure salary and no end date. Everything is done online and there is no flexibility. Terrible bank, terrible service. Now I have my mortgage through HSBC and will be switching my current account to them shortly.
