Excellent, but for one anomalous defect . . .

My experience thus far, albeit less than two months in, has been almost flawless, easily on a par with that of all previous and present financial services (National Westminster: utterly unsatisfactory; Co-operative: highly satisfactory; Capital One: excellent, efficient, responsible; PayPal: helpful, but quick to debit, very, VERY slow to credit or refund), in that it has been easy, clear, efficient, helpful, responsible and, above all, affordable, fixed, secure: the top-up facility (as on my former Bank of Scotland extendable mortgage, much used as necessary) would seem to be the icing on the cake, but for the fact that no-one can, or will, provide any indication WHATSOEVER as to either its availability, or even the eligibility-criteria ~ no dates, amounts, existing liabilities, circumstances, absolutely nothing WHATSOEVER, declaring it to be "an internal matter", without offering any rationale or explanation; all of which strikes me as regrettable, inexplicable and frankly bizarre ~ why the secrecy? What the jeopardy? To whom the benefit? Incomprehensible, and unsatisfactory . . . ! Reviewed on: 4th February 2026
