In an environment where interest rates are falling,...

In an environment where interest rates are falling, it was good to see a recently increased interest rate of 4.21% from the previous best of 4.11% for a 1Yr Fixed Rate Bond. Also, it is much easier to speak to an adviser on the phone, when I had a query about a maturing Bond and potential new interest rates. This information was not available online. It is always a pleasure to be able to speak to a human being, quickly and easily in a digital world. Unlike for example, HMRC who is impossible to speak to!!!! Reviewed on: 11th February 2026
