Review of the Atom Bank, Savings:

Great bank based in the North East of England

I have had an account with Atom virtually since they were set up. I wanted to invest in a smaller bank, as an alternative to the big high street banks. Everything is done via the app, but this is super user friendly and I find information to be clearly laid out and easy to understand. Yes interest rates fluctuate, and they aren't necessarily always providing the best interest rate, but I am pleased to support a bank based in the North East of England Reviewed on: 12th February 2026
