My best savings account for more than ten years

I opened my RCI Freedom Savings account in December 2015 because of its straightforward application process and competitive interest rate. I'm pretty active with my savings and since then I've looked at dozens of other accounts, but this RCI account is still the basis of my cash savings. The interest rate is always one of the best that's available, and that's without any short term bonuses. There are no limitations on the number of transactions and the app is easy to use plus there's the option of online account. My only query is why I don't see it recommended more often by the financial press! Reviewed on: 13th February 2026
