Perfect bank account for setting up my small business

I set up a Mettle business account when first setting up my own business in 2025. I shopped around to compare lots of different bank accounts to see what would suit me best and Mettle seemed to tick all the boxes. I cannot fault the service in any way; it was so easy to set up, has access to great additional tools such as Freeagent and it has worked perfectly in supporting my new venture as self employed. I have only rated customer service as I have not needed to use this service as of yet. Reviewed on: 23rd February 2026
