Interest rate too high

I've been saving with what was called credit union for years and had couple of loans which had a great low interest rate. The interest rate now has trebled, couldn't afford a loan with you anymore so I've had to withdraw some savings instead. I've got 2 credit cards with lower interest rates , credit Union was.started to help people or so i thought but it certainly doesn't now with such a high interest rate.
