Darlington was the only Building society to support...

Darlington was the only Building society who supported me as a foster parent to access a mortgage. The way we are paid makes it notoriously difficult for us to access a mortgage. We are seen as too high risk because of the nature of our work. I’ve been with the Darlington for 9 years and continued to foster, my youngsters love the house. Reviewed on: 27th February 2026
