I wanted to settle a credit card debt.

I wanted to settle a credit card debt. PLATA offerered a competitive APR so I was happy to accept it. Yes I have replaced one debt for another, but it is costing me less than my credit card was & at least I am now able to reduce that debt, by regular monthly payments. Reviewed on: 27th February 2026
