HIGH hidden fees - avoid

I have been with Go-Skippy for around 7 months, and needed to cancel recently due to my cars engine failing and becoming a write off. Within my documents it stated that it would be a £75 cancellation fee as it falls outwith the 14 days cooling off period After a not so pleasant conversation with one of their "customer service" employees. I was told my cancellation fee would be £166, with other fees being stated in their policy documents (not clear and definitely not stated on day of purchase) Avoid this company as they don't have their customers best interests as part of their business, especially if you have to cease your policy due to unforeseen circumstances. Would not recommend to anyone, nor would I ever take out a policy with them again. Reviewed on: 2nd March 2026
