I set up my stocks and shares ISA when you could open with a lower deposit than you can now. The gains are good if you want a managed fund and a good starting point for experiencing entry to stocks and shares. Wealthify gave me the confidence to set up my self managed stocks and shares with another provider where I do my own investments. I’m gaining far better returns but keep my Wealthify fund as I consider levels of risk balanced with returns. Wealthify offer differing risk from cautious to adventurous. Messages to their support team are picked up very quickly and they’ve always been a great help. I’ve been recommending Wealthify to my colleagues but lately, and the only down side, is Wealthify have changed the minimum deposit for opening an account. This means giving advice to people about investments who may be interested but don’t earn a lot, are now priced out. This is a shame because Wealthify is a good platform to learn about how your money is invested, sold and/or reinvested. You see how there are gains and losses, but more importantly you see your investments grow far larger than you gain in interest from a standard savings account (currently 27.51% gain overall). My bank are only providing 5.25% interest by comparison). So potentially Wealthify offers inflation busting returns. Choose your level of risk carefully and if I knew then what I know now, I’d have opened with the £1,000. It’s when you are new to investing the idea of putting your savings at risk is a put off. I’ve branched out to other investments with different platforms that I manage myself. On one investment with another platform, my current return is for one company is 254%. I’d never have branched out if it wasn’t for Wealthify. So I’d recommend without a doubt. There is a risk you could lose more or all your investment, but the general trend is you’ll make returns. Wealthify, only criticism now is you need to reduce the minimum deposit amount because it’s made my job harder recommending you as a good platform to start playing with investing without doing any work.
