We recently opened the Under-16 account with Monzo and it’s been brilliant. The setup was quick and straightforward, and the app makes it really easy to manage everything in one place. My child loves having their own card and being able to see their spending, while I still have full visibility and control through my app. I really like that I can set spending limits, get instant notifications when the card is used, and send pocket money in seconds. It’s a great way to help children learn about saving and managing money safely. Monzo has made banking simple, secure and actually enjoyable for young people. Highly recommend to any parents looking to give their kids a safe introduction to money and banking. Reviewed on: 6th March 2026
