Easy from start to finish

Several months ago I created an easy cash current account online with Halifax. I was able to apply for the account online and have it approved all on the same day! I received my details not long after and was able to start using the account, which was easy to use. I particularly like the feature on the online banking where it tells you which payments you have pending to that card. Reviewed on: 24th December 2015

I recently decided to switch my current account to M&S bank. Once I had applied for the account online, I was asked to ring them up, which I did. It took a while to get through, but once I had the phone call was just a quick call to check all my details were correct. A few days later I had an email to say I had been accepted for the account. Poor customer relations

I have held an account with Santander for many years, and have an overdraft from when I was a student. I have not had any information about when this overdraft needed to be reduced by or when I would be charged interest on it. So after a very challenging phone call trying to get through to an operator and not a machine, I was told that they did not actually know! It could be in a month or it could be next year. I have been with Nationwide for many years, on and off, but have only started using them as my main bank account in the past year. I recently upgraded to the FlexDirect account online, and this was very easy to do. The website made it very clear what was happening at every stage and my application was approved almost instantly.
