Supporting Our Business From Day One.....

As a start-up business in the classic vehicle transport and storage sector, choosing the right banking partner was important for us from day one. Mettle has been a straightforward and practical solution while building the business. Opening the account was quick and simple, which allowed us to get trading without the delays often associated with traditional banks. For a new business, that speed matters. The app-based banking works particularly well when you’re on the move. Instant payment notifications provide reassurance when customers settle invoices, and the ability to categorise expenses helps keep cashflow visible and organised. The integration with accounting software is also a big advantage, reducing admin time and keeping records tidy from the outset. For a start-up, keeping overheads low is crucial, and Mettle offers a clean, easy-to-use platform without unnecessary complexity. In terms of drawbacks, as a fully digital bank there is no physical branch access, which may not suit businesses that handle regular cash deposits. Some advanced lending or finance options are more limited compared to larger high street banks.
