Mettle: user friendly & helpful features

Mettle has been so easy to use, and set up. Easy to navigate creating new invoices, for example, and matching transactions. The interface is fresh, user friendly and easy to navigate. I love the pop up notices that inform of incoming payment or task, and I like the prompt to complete book keeping tasks - this is super helpful and satisfying when everything is completed! This helps the business owner keep up to date with small accounting tasks - brilliant. I would like to see a total in the account somewhere (currently you see what is in the current account, and what is in pots). Also the 'help' is AI and did not quite answer my question, but I understand that is currently the way of the world (AI customer services). I have not tried to call Mettle for anything yet, but I do trust there would be a very good response, if I needed to speak to a person. I am looking forward to syncing with Freeagent, which is free with Mettle, which is really helpful. I also really appreciate the option to bank online via laptop /PC (not just on the phone). All round I would highly recommend Mettle to small business owners. While my income is small compared to many businesses, I feel part of a community and the features help both small and larger businesses alike. Five stars! Reviewed on: 19th March 2026
