A Dependable, Expert Mortgage Partner

My experience with Tembo is one of the best I have received from any organisation in any context. Impeccable customer service. As first-time buyers my wife and I were unfamiliar with the mortgage process. From our first conversation with Rob Yeo, we understood that we had a loyal and knowledgeable ally. Rob made every effort to understand our unorthodox circumstances, informed us of a great lender, and smoothly handled a problem that came up on our end with no judgment. We secured a mortgage offer with no stress and in rapid time. Rob was always available to answer any questions and impart his wisdom. We were then handed over to Christianna Amos who provided extremely well-written communication about the process, next steps, and what points we needed to take into consideration. Tia is friendly and approachable - we felt just as comfortable as we did with Rob. Rob and Tia did a lot of background work in liaising with the lender, providing all the documentation, and setting us up with a conveyancer. Following that we received expert guidance from Faye Carroll who patiently gathered information about our insurance requirements and presented us with some fantastic policies at excellent rates. Just like the mortgage, all the application work was done for us - we just needed to provide the information. Being in contact with multiple different individuals throughout the process was jarring at first. However, it's clear that Tembo have designed their service model to maximum efficiency. Each phase of the house-buying process is complex - each Tembo consultant is a specialist in their individual area - so we can be sure that the highest level expertise is being provided every step of the way. No matter your contact point, you're guaranteed a response in at most 48 hours (usually sooner). The service is exceptional, but not perfect. To point out a drawback - Tembo rely entirely on phone calls and emails. In an increasingly digital world, and with topics as delicate and significant as purchasing a house, it would be preferable if the communication was handled in a more modern way. Video consultations, and some more visual ways of conveying information, instead of bullet-pointed emails and large PDF documents. Finally, an important point to emphasise is that Tembo are your friends for life. They support remortgages and any other situations that may come over the duration of the repayment. Very few companies offer a lifelong service, especially at an exceedingly high standard. Tembo truly is a customer first-service with a clear mission statement to make one of the most stressful life milestones as straightforward as possible. They live up to that mission in every respect.
