Overall, PayPal is a good tool that I use regularly...

Overall, PayPal is a good tool that I use regularly for things like Buy Now, Pay Later, but the mobile app has really been losing its way lately. It needs to be much more simple. It feels like the app is completely going away from its core identity. A money app is supposed to be simple. You open it to check your balance and quickly send money to who you need to. It should not be complicated with separate tabs and a cluttered layout. Lately, it feels like they are cramming in too many new offers and distractions. You should have to opt into those things if you want them. They should not be forced onto the main interface and confusing the user. I also participated in the rewards program and ordered a virtual card, but it is definitely not for me. I absolutely do not like waiting a long time for money to finally come out of my bank account. When I buy something, I want the payment to go out immediately so I can track my money in real time. PayPal works well for basic shopping and splitting up payments, but they desperately need to return to a simple interface. Reviewed on: 6th July 2026
