Poor customer service but still the cheapest quote

I bought insurance before I’d moved into the property and made assumptions about the types of locks and distance of trees from the property. I thought tweaking this later would be straight forward. It wasn’t. The first person I spoke with was insistent on comparing my policy to a different quote I had saved instead of just using my current policy as the reference. She was abrasive and rude and any question I had that wasn’t rigid she couldn’t answer and just got more abrasive back. Had the issue been properly explained to me in a decent way I’d have understood the issue and known I had to take the policy out again and cancel the old one. The second person I spoke to wasn’t as rude but also couldn’t follow simple instructions and got quite “sassy” back to me getting further annoyed by her not listening. I hope to never need to deal with the below acceptable customer service again. Reviewed on: 2nd July 2019
