Danger do not use. its a trap.

At the start it was sunshine and rainbows, Nice credit limit, link all your bills, link all your debit cards, make payments faster. But unlike any other credit source you have 0 way to balance transfer out. you are locked in. its a financial trap. payments to pay off your credit balance take ages to go through, they also delay other payments and cause headaches. they also count non credit sources as credit so you can go over your credit limit without even knowing you have as when you pay with payapl (not even through paypal credit but through another connected funding source like a debit card) you dont instantly pay with the funding source you select it takes a few days to go through so it shows up as credit, meaning it will show up as credit overutilisation like it has done for me. it shows up for a few days before it goes though to your debit card, but thats enough time for it to mess your credit history up. I would never recomend paypal, its a dangrous trap. do not get caught by it. Reviewed on: 12th April 2026
