Finally bought my first house last May!

I’ve been meaning to leave a review for Moneybox because their LISA was a massive help for me getting my first house last May. I didn't actually manage to max out the £4k limit every year, but that’s the great thing about it, you still get the 25% bonus on whatever you can afford to put in. Seeing that extra government top-up land in the app every month was a huge boost and really kept me motivated to keep saving. The round-ups feature was probably my favorite part. It just takes the spare change from your daily spending and tucks it away. It sounds small, but it really adds up over time without you even noticing the money is gone. I was a bit stressed about the payout process once I had an offer accepted, but it was actually really smooth. They worked with my solicitor to get the funds moved over for completion without any issues. If you’re starting to save for a deposit now, definitely get one of these opened just to get the 12-month timer started. It’s basically free money toward your house. Reviewed on: 15th April 2026
