PayPal Credit: Extremely poor customer services!

I’ve been a PayPal credit customer for nearly a decade. I have made several high value purchases and have always made payments ontime via clearing my statement balances in full and the ocassional top up payments to clear my balances sooner. I have given a overall score of average as PayPal has been useful in certain situations, especially in the checkout payments but since PayPal introduced the new PayPal credit cards and debit cards, I have experienced a lot of isssues. My major concern is the extremely poor in-app experience where a customer is not even able to amend or change certain features like a mobile number. I recently and still am going through a lot of issues with removing a number from my account via in-app or even by web. It is now a number used permanently by my husband . I raised this issue through the online portal including raising a complaint and this was the first time I have ever raised my concerns regarding a very important matter only to be addressed again and again by a computer bot. Following raising a complaint I get a response via email, that too written by a bot totally unrelated to the issue I had raised. With my busy work and everything I just gave up not even having the strength to take it to the financial ombudsman. PayPal customer service is excruciatingly difficult and is insulting to be frank. I was also not offered the new service of the debit card and them quoting that it has only been offered to selected clients, that response too reading like a computerised response rather than a personalised response. I was very tempted to close the account but I have left it open to pay small subscriptions and as I wanted to keep it to maintain my excellent credit utilisation record. I would not recommend PayPal to any of my friends and I would advise them to steer clear of this organisation and get a credit card with a responsive customer focussed mainstream bank who genuinely value their customers.
