Stepchange is a lifesaving organisation

I was in a lot of debt and almost losing my mind as my finances had spiralled out of control and I had never been in debt before. Stepchange handled everything after I provided all the required information and I was able to make one monthly repayment, which reduced a lot of stress. My creditors also stopped sending threatening letters which was a weight off my mind. The Debt Management Plan showed exactly what payments were being made each month to each creditor and gave me an estimated debt free date. If there was ever a time that I was struggling to make a payment, the customer service team were so helpful and supportive, trying to work with me to find a solution that could keep my plan active but also keep it affordable for me. I was sometimes able to make reduced payments when times were really tough (although they don't allow you to do this regularly, which is understandable). If you find that you have to keep making reduced payments they allow you to redo your budget to fit your current circumstances. I am happy to say that my debt free date is November 2026 and im counting down the months until that time, when I will be celebrating massively with the knowledge that im finally debt free. Its all thanks to Stepchange. They have been a true lifeline for me and I cannot praise this charity enough. They made the whole process of repaying my debt easy and stress free. My online account shows my statements each month so I can always track my payments. I recommend Stepchange to anyone who is drowning in debt.
