Saviour from bankruptcy....

StepChange have saved me potentially from losing my home and assets by setting up a debt management plan, when the current cost of living crisis hit. I was unfortunate to have an accident at work, which left me with a spinal injury and unable to continue to be employed. Having to rely on payments from the welfare system, to live and pay for everything, including a mortgage, house maintenance, bills and adaptive equipment to make my home safe for me to live in. I have being able to meet every payment on the Debt Management Plan, with advise and understanding of my situation from StepChange. Reviewed on: 6th May 2026
