Changed my life for the better

I came to StepChange 4 years ago now on the back of some advice from a friend about potential services that could help me with my debts. I was skeptical that there was anything that I could do that wouldn't be completely negative towards my entire future due to social stigmas and understanding about debt management but StepChange took all of that worry away from me. The friendly staff members that I spoke to over the phone were more than welcoming to me and didn't just help me create a sustainable and lasting plan to help tackle and overcome my debts, they also helped me come to terms mentally with my debts and come to a place where I feel comfortable again regarding my finances. While I'm still working through my debts now, I know that when/if I have any questions, StepChange will be there to talk to me and support me in making the right decisions. Reviewed on: 6th May 2026
