Life changing, if struggling with debt repayments.

Quite a while ago I was struggling very much with debt, after losing my job, and the bills, debt repayments, and general everyday costs were piling up, and I honestly thought there was no way out of that horrible nightmarish situation. Then we were advised to try Stepchange, who are free to use, and they sorted us out with a repayment plan we could afford. They contacted those we owed money to, and they stopped charging interest on the debts and stopped the threatening letters. We do a yearly review with them, to keep everything straight. We are now quite close to paying everything off, and I would recommend Stepchange to anyone struggling to keep their heads above financial water. Reviewed on: 6th May 2026
