Step Change reassured me there was a way out of debt.

I felt terrible fear and anxiety when i had to unexpectedly give up working to care for my husband. I had loans I expected to be able to pay off and felt guilty and almost criminal to be in a position where i could not afford to repay loans. Step change were helpful and reassured me and set up a repayment plan I could afford. Reviewed on: 6th May 2026
