I was medically discharged from the services in 2025, I became housebound and depressed and gambled heavily, losing 10's of thousands of pounds. Stepchange helped by going through a budget, giving me options to repay what I owed, and keeping debt collectors away. They were the first step to recovery for me. Reviewed on: 6th May 2026
