I was drowning in debt and StepChange rescued me

I was drowning in debt and was paying over half my wages a month to creditors. So much so that I had to put grocery shopping on credit cards and then the whole vicious cycle started again. StepChange took that pressure off of me by taking my debts and told my creditors of my issues and helped to make smaller monthly payments to give me some breathing space!! It felt like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders when things were put into place. Reviewed on: 7th May 2026
