I was absolutely desperate when I went to StepChange...

I was absolutely desperate when I went to StepChange for help. Following my husband's death, I could no longer manages debts that we had in my name only, and I thought I was going to lose my home. They helped me to work out a realistic budget, which meant I did not have to go without and could cover all household bills, food shopping, etc, before making payment to my creditors. I should be debt-free in approximately two years and I'm so grateful that I found this company when I did. Reviewed on: 7th May 2026
