Stepchange. Life savers for me.

I turned to Stepchange 3-4 years ago when I was at my wits end with escalating interest on my outstanding debt. I had serious health issues, mobility and mentally. I was in a deep depression, knowing there was no way out, and I started having really bad thoughts. I was introduced to Stepchange and given a genuine lifeline, where they assured me "Not to worry, things will be fine" and sure enough I pay a small amount each month and started to believe I could get through this. I still worry but nothing like I had done in the past. I still have a marriage and a life, which is down to Stepchange. My advice is don't be alone in debt and seek help. Reviewed on: 8th May 2026
