They were there to guide, direct, and support me.

I didn't know where to turn because of the situation my husband had gotten us into. Talking to the customer services department put me at ease. There was no judgment, and although I was crying, the person was very patient with me. They made me feel I could breathe again and that it would all be sorted. I can't thank StepChange enough. I pay my debt via them. They did everything with me, from identifying my debtors to contacting them to make a proposal. I complete a budget every year to make sure I can afford what I am paying. The cost of what I pay incorporates normal daily living expenses, so I feel I can survive and still have a life whilst paying the companies I owe. Reviewed on: 8th May 2026
