The struggle of having zero credit history in the UK!

When I was new and had zero credit history in the UK, Great Western Credit Union approved a loan which I really needed to pay university fees for my son back in South Africa. I was so stressed to think of my son losing a place for his first-year aerospace engineering studies. Before searching for help online where I found GWCU, I first tried my traditional bank for a loan which they vehemently denied for lack of adequate credit history despite my salary being paid in the very bank! I am grateful to the trust that GWCU had in me and remain thankful for having such a customer-centric organization. GWCU made me to improve my credit history in the UK. Interestingly, the same bank that denied me a loan is writing email after email offering me a loan which I don't need any more!
