Best people to help if you have a debt problem

Having encountered financial difficulties in my early sixties I made the classic mistake of 'burying my head in the sand' otherwise known as adopting an 'ignore it and it will go away' mode. Unsurprisingly it did not but when I bit the bullet and contacted StepChange, just been able to have a conversation was a huge relief and with their excellent guidance and advice the situation was brought under control and I am now a couple of months short of being debt free.
