25k Debt Free

I was about 25k in debt and at a point of no return, was advised to look into Stepchange. Managed to consolidate all my loans into 1 monthly payment, set up a standing order so the money was paid directly on the date I was paid. Still received letters from loan companies but contacted Stepchange and they delt with everything. Repayments where at the maximum I could pay with little wiggle room but still getting paid and still surviving, debt is never going to be stress free but just used it as a learning experience and have since found budgeting loads easier since finishing my repayments. It's a company I never want to hear from again but owe them my life, thankyou. Reviewed on: 28th May 2026
