Review of the Cedar Tree, Travel Insurance:

Fantastic customer service

I bought family insurance for a one week summer holiday. My choice of company was based on recommendation from Moneysupermarket. After looking at the companies recommended, Cedartree offered the cover I required at a good price (two travellers gave pre-existing health conditions complicating the purchase of travel insurance). First purchase was straight forward and easy, great app and reminders of insurance cover provided sent by text. I then decided, several days later, to purchase some add on cover (particularly travel disruption but also possibly scuba diving cover). As I was struggling to decide whether I was buying appropriate cover, I phoned Cedartree. This is when they came into their own. Excellent customer service, appropriate and good advice given, clearly explained the cover that would be provided with no hard sell. In fact, with the scuba diving, as I was unsure, it was made clear that I could leave it for the time being, and add it on, even whilst away, as long as there was 24 hours before the dive. Ultimately my daughter decided not to dive and therefore I did not waste money purchasing unnecessary cover. Fortunately, I did not need to claim against the insurance so cannot comment on the claims process, but am very impressed with the cover offered, price of insurance and, in particular, the telephone customer service.
