Convenient and easy to manage for larger purchases

I have had a positive experience using PayPal Credit, especially for larger purchases such as software for skill development and annual subscriptions for educational services. The application process was very straightforward from what I remember, and once set up, it has been easy to use. One of the main benefits for me is the convenience. PayPal is accepted on a wide range of websites, so PayPal Credit feels readily available when I need it. I also value the added sense of security and buyer protection that comes with using PayPal, particularly when buying online. The credit limit has been generous, which is useful, but it also means you need to be disciplined. I set up direct debit for the minimum payments so I know payments are covered automatically, but I also make larger manual payments when I can to keep the balance under control. This makes it feel manageable rather than stressful. The app and website are easy to use, and I have not needed to contact customer service because everything has been fairly intuitive. The only real drawback is the temptation to overspend, especially because PayPal Credit is so convenient and available on many purchases. Overall, I would recommend PayPal Credit to people who want flexibility for larger purchases and are confident they can manage repayments responsibly. Reviewed on: 7th July 2026
