Not great.

Not great. The way money are managed when there is more than one plan + long term interest plan, any money you repay are going to the long term rates, not the short but now pay later one, unless it's the same month the 0% interest expires, unless then it doesn't work and money converge again in the fixed interest rate... Awful. If you need quick money to buy something that's ok, but nothing else. Reviewed on: 14th July 2026

Paypal pay in 3 works decently, but...

Paypal pay in 3 works decently, my complain is that overall Paypal doesn't give you full flexibility on how to repay various options. If you have a long term product on which you are paying interest rates, and you make a purchase with 0% interest (if paid within 4 months), you cannot pay towards the 0% interest, as any money you pay into your account are automatically accredited to the longest, higher interest rate one, and there is no way of directing YOUR money otherwise. Their tactic revolves on having the 4 months 0% interest expire, so they can charge you for the previous 4 months something like 60+% interest rate, and you have no option to fix it (except for paying hte full amount right before it expires, as it seems like you can only contribute through it when it within a month to expire - which kinda defeats the purpose of having 4 months to make repayments). Overall, while pay in 3 is fine by itself, the whole Paypal behavior is scammy. Reviewed on: 12th June 2026

Could be better

PayPal pay in 3 Is a good way of spreading the cost of some big order. The issues I have are with PayPal in general and the way payment priorities are managed. If I have along term fixed interest purchase, and a few zero interest for 4 months payment, why are my payments going towards the longer order, when I want to extinguish the zero interests first?
