Recommended through MSE and true to form a quick easy process and hopefully an effective excess policy, if it’s needed. I’m generally a fan of PayPal but

I’m generally a fan of PayPal but as with all organisations and relationships it’s how issues are dealt with and resolved when something unexpectedly goes wrong. Having had an issue with an online booking for a hire car abroad and that car and the agents processes being found not to the expected standard I raised the matter with PayPal under their section 75 responsibilities. Their processes were cumbersome, remote and bureaucratic. It was very much PayPal focused and not at all customer friendly. Decisions were slow, holding communication minimal and outcomes poorly handled. Reviewed on: 16th June 2026
