Mixed experience

Mixed experience. Pros - When my application finally got to the DRO department everything went smoothly, quickly and staff were excellent. Cons- prior to the DRO department (advice team) my experience was awful. 1. I was provided wrong information regarding how to get an independent garage to value my car as my car flagged as £4.6k over the £4K limit for a dro. For instance, first, I was told I needed one garage, I got that evidence, then I was sent away again by MW and told I need another one. I got another one then I was told it can’t be accepted as the garage ranged the value as 3k-6k. Then I got another one then was told by MW it can’t be accepted as it’s not lettered head. Overall, I drove around my damaged mechanically faulty car, waste fuel I couldn’t afford to 15 garages just to get 2 independent garages to value my car for free, as most garages and dealers charge for this evidence. 2. Getting though on the phone is a nightmare, I waited 1hr.45 mins just to be told I am in the wrong department and then MW transfer me to the correct department then the phone line would cut off, so I would have to call back and wait another 1hr.45mins. 3. I requested call backs which failed 99% of the time until I had to escalate it via the live chat/email, it was only then that MW called me back . Reviewed on: 30th June 2026
