Great interest-free tool for big purchases

PayPal Credit is fantastic for spreading the cost of larger purchases like holidays or kids' clothing orders over £200. It allows me to allocate a manageable percentage of my monthly salary toward the balance, and managing the repayments is incredibly easy. While you can set up a direct debit, I prefer making manual payments myself so I can control exactly how much I clear each month. The 4-month interest-free period is a massive help, though you must be disciplined to pay it off in full before the interest kicks in. An extra bonus is the peace of mind from PayPal Buyer Protection on big travel bookings. Just keep in mind that you cannot use a credit card to pay off your balance (it has to be a debit card or bank transfer) and traditional balance transfers are not supported.
