PayPal's four months interest free credit is superb

PayPal gave me four months interest free credit which allowed me to purchase a duvet set which was on a limited discount offer. I was then able to put money away while I paid the minimum direct debit each month until the final month when I paid off the full remaining balance. During this time I also made a purchase with 'Pay in 3' which let me pay in three equal payments over 3 months. This was handled okay by Paypal but I had to look at the available monthly statements to check the single minimum monthly direct debit which was a combination of the two purchases. I phoned PayPal on one occasion and customer service person was patient and helpful in explaining how PayPal took final payments when a purchase was concluded. The monthly statements available let you follow the payment trail and the direct debit taken each month. Reviewed on: 6th July 2026
