Handy for spreading costs, just keep an eye on interest

I've used PayPal Credit for a while now and overall it does what it promises. The biggest plus is how seamlessly it's built into the PayPal checkout, when you're already paying with PayPal, splitting a purchase or pushing it onto credit takes a couple of taps, with no separate card to dig out. The 0% offers on larger purchases are genuinely useful if you're disciplined about clearing them before the promo period ends. The main drawback is the standard interest rate, which is on the higher side, so it's not something you want to carry a revolving balance on long-term. The app makes it easy to see your balance and set up payments, though I'd like clearer reminders about when promotional periods are due to end. For occasional use and spreading the cost of bigger buys, it's convenient and does the job well. Just treat it like any credit product and stay on top of repayments and you'll get the benefit without the sting. Reviewed on: 6th July 2026
