I have had PayPal for over 15 years and have never had any problems... It is my preferred way of paying for any goods online as it comes straight from my bank account, or if I want to wait for any funds to reach my account, then I use the PayPal Credit and I make sure it goes straight back in when the funds are in my bank account. It is also fabulous for sending money to friends and family, just by using their email address associated with their PayPal account. It is done immediately. My Grandson has a PayPal account now and likes to shop online using his PayPal, so I just top up his account when ever he dies little jobs for me, it all mounts up and in the end he has enough for what ever he wants. I've heard some people had problems years ago but I never have and I think that was when PayPal first started, so you could expect teething problems then as with anything new.. But now it's well established and one of the top best, I would actually say the top, if the best ways to pay for goods, not only in one go but over a time period, and also sending money to family and friends. I'm not with any other payment system, only PayPal and that's been good enough for me for many years so that's how it will stay... Reviewed on: 11th July 2026
